Our pursuit was comfort. With the help of Kaneko Optical, who delivers on their reliable techniques, we've created classic, comfortable eyeglasses.

The Beat Culture of the 1950s, influenced by modernism, American classic literature, and jazz, is a source of counterculture that continues to this day. Porter Classic also loves Kerouac. We envisioned eyeglasses born within that culture. These sunglasses feature a simple, modern, and timeless design, born from the fusion of European eyeglass shapes and the American culture of the time. The hinges are not embedded, but secured with hand-riveted rivets by skilled craftsmen. This is a rare technique that is rarely used today, but it's one of the points that showcases classic craftsmanship.
