The JAPAN EDITION collection was developed by a Japanese design team to suit Japan's climate and trends. The original field coat, which originated as a hunting coat first introduced in 1924, has been updated with new materials, specifications, and fit. While its dull sheen and deep color give it a heavy feel, this coat is lightweight and warm thanks to its 3D-structured stretch padding and next-generation 3DeFX+® insulation. The product has been treated with a ball bio wash for a smoother, suede-like feel.

It utilizes the 3D structured, stretchable "3DeFX+® INSULATION" developed by TORAY Corporation.
Four types of helical fibers intertwine in a complex manner, resulting in high elasticity and bulkiness.
It offers excellent heat retention thanks to its ample dead air pockets, and is also lightweight and compact.
The 3D structure of the insulation eliminates the need for stitch-down construction, preventing cold spots and maintaining high heat retention.

By applying a ball bio-wash process to the product, the nap on the fabric surface is emphasized, resulting in a smoother suede-like feel.

The front, cuffs, and chin strap have snap button closures.
It has two pockets on each side, with the same design as the original (plus one more pocket below the open pockets).
The left chest also features a zippered pocket with the same design as the original.
