The JAPAN EDITION collection was developed by a Japanese design team to suit Japan's climate and trends. Based on our Beans Thinsulate Windy Ridge Jacket from the early '90s, which was characterized by its large waist pockets and short length, the material and fit have been updated. The jacket features 3DeFX+®, our next-generation insulation with a 3D structure, providing excellent warmth while remaining so light you'll almost forget you're wearing it.

Outer fabric: 51% cotton / 49% nylon
We've adopted "Aero Nylon Cotton Twill," which combines natural cotton and hollow nylon and has been treated with a water-repellent finish. Further garment washing has been applied to update it to give it a more classic look.
Lining: 100% polyester

This product utilizes TORAY's proprietary 3D-structured, stretchable insulation, 〈3DeFX+® (Three Dee FX) INSULATION〉.
Four types of helical fibers intertwine in a complex manner, resulting in high elasticity and bulkiness.
It offers excellent heat retention thanks to its ample dead air pockets, and is also lightweight and compact.
The 3D structure of the insulation eliminates the need for stitch-down construction, preventing cold spots and maintaining high heat retention.
Additional Information
The shorter length and clean silhouette make it easy to match with various bottoms.
The front has a snap button and two-way zipper closure.
The cuffs are elasticized and have snap-button tabs for adjustable fit.
Features a zippered pocket on the left chest and snap-closure flap pockets and zippered pockets on both sides.
The hem has a drawstring for adjustable fit.
We used a lining and drawstring with a somewhat nostalgic color scheme.
Our Katahdin logo label is located on the lower left hem.
