If the ultimate cold-weather garment is the ultimate down jacket, then this "down jacket" is the easiest one to wear in everyday life.
We designed this piece to look stylish and well-balanced whether you are in the city or the great outdoors.

We feel cold primarily because heat escapes from our bodies.
The fundamental role of a down jacket is to trap heat within the layer of air held by the down feathers, enveloping the body in warmth.
Therefore, the ability to retain a large volume of air is the key to quality.
The metric used to measure this performance is "Fill Power" (FP).
While 600 FP is generally considered high-quality, we use Hungarian silver goose down boasting over 900 FP.
Raised in a harsh natural environment, these feathers possess excellent loft recovery and trap vast amounts of air.
Furthermore, by using UDD (Ultra Dry Down)—feathers treated with a super water-repellent finish—we have overcome the common weakness where down loses its loft when wet.

Another crucial factor determining cold-weather performance is the fill weight—the amount of down used.
We pack 100g (average for size M) of this high-quality, 900+ FP down into the jacket.
While 100g is an amount comparable to standard heavy-duty down outerwear, we deliberately positioned this as a jacket for everyday use.
This choice reflects our pursuit of the perfect volume—warm enough for daily life in Hokkaido, yet comfortable to throw on without feeling bulky or restrictive.

To fully showcase the natural loft of the down, we selected a lightweight yet highly durable 2.5-layer waterproof-breathable fabric for the outer shell.
Despite its thin 20-denier construction, the fabric offers high waterproofness, breathability, and tear strength, resulting in a supple, stretchy, and comfortable fit.
For the lining, we combined durable water-repellent nylon (resistant to dirt) with anti-static material, ensuring the jacket is comfortable to put on and take off, even in the dry air of winter. We also incorporated a unique seamless construction around the shoulders; this design prevents cold air from seeping in while simultaneously reducing the strain caused by carrying a backpack.

We paid meticulous attention to everyday practicality.
To prevent collar stains—a common cause of wear and tear or the need for replacement—we lined the neck area with "block fleece," a material that is both comfortable and resistant to dirt.
Naturally, the jacket is machine-washable at home, making routine care effortless.
The exterior features highly water-resistant zippers, and the jacket is equipped with ample pockets for excellent storage capacity.
We also included underarm ventilation zippers (pit zips).
Thanks to the jacket's superior thermal insulation, you might occasionally feel too warm—such as when moving indoors or into a car—but simply opening these zippers allows heat and moisture to escape instantly, enabling comfortable temperature regulation without removing the jacket.
The front pockets feature a hand-warmer design that combines down insulation with fleece lining.
Additionally, the chest pocket is designed with an insulation sheet on the outer side to protect stored items from the cold; it accommodates large smartphones without interfering with your movement and helps minimize battery drain in cold conditions.
For the 2026 model, we introduced a new "cord-adjusting fastener" for the hem.
We improved upon the usability of traditional drawcords—which were often difficult to loosen once tightened—to ensure smooth release and readjustment.

The color concept is inspired by the "beautiful scenery of Hokkaido."
Rather than focusing on famous tourist spots, we carefully selected and expressed colors drawn from the winter landscapes and crisp air we encounter in our daily lives.

This down jacket boasts neither flashy designs nor eccentric features that demand immediate attention.
Precisely because of that, we packed it with only the essential elements, creating a timeless piece you will want to wear every day in the city.
This is the ultimate expression of basic down outerwear that NANGA WHITE LABEL set out to achieve.
