Beams Japan commissioned Shirakawa Daruma Sohonpo, the largest Daruma market in Japan, in Shirakawa City, Fukushima Prefecture, to create a specially commissioned Daruma doll with an orange body and an indigo pattern, creating a truly auspicious design. The red color used on traditional Daruma dolls originally had the connotation of warding off evil and misfortune. However, the special color for this special order has no negative connotation whatsoever. It embodies the positive image of "always wanting to be happy and joyful!" and the wish for "prosperity for generations to come."
