This BEAMS PLUS button-down shirt is crafted from a classic selvedge chambray fabric, produced at a weaving mill in Nishiwaki City, Hyogo Prefecture—a region renowned as one of Japan’s premier hubs for shirt fabric. The material is designed to develop a unique character and texture the more it is worn. Inspired by American-made button-down shirts from the 1960s, the construction features narrow (3mm) lock-stitched side seams and a stitch density of 18 stitches per 3 centimeters. Every stage of production is carried out in Japan by skilled craftspeople. As a signature BEAMS PLUS detail, the side hems are reinforced with bar tacks shaped like a "+" sign.
