L.L.Bean JAPAN EDITION Women's Bean's Field Coat, Insulated Indigo

The JAPAN EDITION collection was developed by a Japanese design team to suit Japan's climate and trends. Originating from a hunting coat first introduced in 1924, our classic Original Field Coat has been updated in terms of material, specifications, and fit. High-density taffeta, made from a blend of indigo-dyed fine cotton yarn and hollow polyester yarn, is woven with two layers of thin padding between the lining for superior warmth. Furthermore, stonewashing after sewing creates a natural faded look and soft texture, reminiscent of years of wear, resulting in a lightweight, enveloping comfort.

Material & Care

• Outer: 72% cotton/28% polyester
• Lightweight indigo hollow taffeta made from a densely woven blend of indigo-dyed fine cotton yarn and hollow polyester yarn.
• Other fabric: 100% cotton corduroy (collar and cuff trim)
• Lining: 100% nylon
• Filling: 100% polyester
• Double insulation, with two thin layers of padding, creates a layer of warm air between the padding, improving heat retention.
• Hand wash, air dry or dry clean
• Use a laundry net when washing/use a cloth when ironing
• Please wash separately
• Will shrink slightly when washed
• For off-white and light-colored items, please use a non-fluorescent detergent.
• Do not soak or leave wet.
• Dark colors may transfer to other items when rubbed or wet, so please be careful when wearing them with white or light colors.
• Please avoid ironing the corduroy part.
• This product uses indigo dye (Fade Blue only)
• When rubbed (especially when wet) or when wet with sweat or rain, the color may transfer to other clothing, underwear (especially white items), bags, sofas, car seats, etc.

Additional Information

• After the company's founder, Leon Leonwood Bean, introduced the "Maine Duck Hunting Coat" in 1924, improvements were made to meet the demands of the times, and the current "Original Field Coat" was born in 1947.
• Furthermore, we have updated the materials, specifications, and fit, and while it looks heavy, the moment you put it on you will feel a stark contrast to how light and comfortable it is, making it a special piece that is unique to the Japan Edition.
