The palaka, which evolved uniquely as Hawaiian workwear, has a number of varieties. The fabrics used varied widely, and the shapes and specifications were changed according to the needs of the Japanese American immigrants who were engaged in the work. The pullover type work shirt was one of the rarest of these. At that time, a detachable collar was attached to the shirt when working, but SUNSURF has removed the collar and reissued it as a stand collar.

Union Supply Company, founded in 1922 by Japanese-born Yasuda Kayoji, expanded its business by providing high-quality, affordable workwear to people moving to Hawaii from Japan. Refund Policies
