These bottoms are based on a vintage military All-In-One, with the top and bottom halves separated so they can be worn separately.
The design involves cutting out the lower half of the jumpsuit, resulting in a very unique design with an extremely large waist and a high rise.
While adhering to the original design, the lack of side seams allows for the use of very luxurious fabric, creating a distinctive balanced look when worn.
A drawstring is included at the waist.
This work denim is a reproduction of 10oz 2/1 light handwork denim with a Sanforized (pre-shrunk) finish, made to the standards of Union (Union Made), a company that was a member of various work brands familiar from the 1950s and 1960s, known for Union Ticket.
The dyeing, thread usage, density, and weave were all recreated by disassembling and analyzing deadstock from the period.
Considering productivity, the fabric was woven on an innovative loom rather than the old-fashioned power looms used at the time.
